...I wanted all the things that I haven´t got...

Meinen heutigen Song des Tages kenne ich zwar schon seit einigen Jahren, habe ihm aber bisher aber immer kaum Beachtung geschenkt. Ich liebe zwar die Band und fand den Song selbst auch immer ganz nett, mehr aber auch nicht. Gestern allerdings wollte ich ihn allerdings plötzlich unbedingt hören. Plötzlich war mir klar, dass ich unbedingt Macy's Day Parade hören musste.

Der Song des Tages ist also Macy's Day Parade von Green Day.

 Wie schon gesagt fand ich den Song bisher zwar ganz nett, aber nie unglaublich toll, wohl auch, weil er wirklich sehr ruhig ist. Das Tempo würde ich mit dem von Good Riddance vergleichen, nur dass dieser Song gleichförmiger ist und daher eventuell auch etwas langweilig wirken kann. Ich vermute, dass das auch der Grund ist, warum ich mich nie wirklich für ihn begeistern konnte.
Doch trotz des ähnlichen Tempos ist Macy's Day Parade meiner Meinung nach vollkommen anders als Good Riddance, was man schon an den Instrumenten hören kann. im Gegensatz zu Good Riddance hört man hier  keine Streicher, sondern viel mehr Schlagzeug, eine Akustikgitarre und E-Bass, das Haupt"augen"merk liegt dabei auf der Bassline und dem Schlagzeug, die "eigentliche" Gitarre wird spärlich eingesetzt. Zusammen mit der eher tiefen Melodie mag der Song eventuell etwas langweilig klingen. zumindest könnte es das, wäre da nicht Billie Joe's Stimme. Niemand anders könnte diesen Song so singen wie er; seine Stimme, die Tonlage, es passt einfach perfekt, gerade weil es meiner Meinung nach während der ersten Sekunden etwas merkwürdig klingt.

--> Ein weiterer ruhiger Green Day-Song, aber einer, der sich mMn recht stark von den anderen unterscheidet. Aber hört selbst. :)
